Community Concerts: Tribute to the King

Although not an immediate fan of Elvis, as Travis got to know more about the man and his music, he came to understand why Elvis will forever be known as “The King” of Rock & Roll. Particularly appealing to Travis are Elvis’ early years, the Sun recordings, a time when a kid out of nowhere became a legend, not only for his music but for his generosity, his humility, his desire to be an individual. It is with the utmost admiration and respect for Elvis that Travis LeDoyt offers his tribute to the man who shaped a generation.

ABOUT COMMUNITY CONCERTS: The Cedar Rapids Community Concert Association has a long history of providing exceptional entertainment at a great price to Cedar Rapids and the surrounding community. Now in its 86th season, the CRCCA began in 1930 as a new way to offer top-name entertainers to smaller cities – rather than hiring the act and then trying to sell enough tickets to pay for it, community concert associations would sell memberships and then use those proceeds to secure a full season of concerts in advance.

CRCCA's mission is to provide the community with high quality cultural entertainment at a cost affordable to everyone, and we strive to keep memberships affordable.

We are a locally directed, non-profit, and devoted to bringing the world's greatest attractions and musical artists to the Cedar Rapids area. Officers, directors, and workers all serve on a volunteer basis.
